About Me.

About me:

I have been a professional bass guitar player and double bassist for the last twenty years.

I am experienced in a wide variety of styles having recorded and played lots of diverse music over the years. I have performed in many different musical ensembles all over the world, at venues ranging from tiny clubs to major Festivals. I have also had lots of recording experience from adverts to major label album releases.

I am also a fanatical collector of basses, and have my own MacPro based recording set-up with high quality DI boxes and soundcard. If needed, I can record at 96K.

My 3/4 size 1890 Czech double bass will be recorded with one of my high end Neumann microphones that have given me great results many times before.

I aim to provide affordable bass performances for songwriters and beatmakers, and you can hear an original bassline on your track at no charge.

Here's how:

You send me your track to play on (mp3 or wav/aiff format) If I need you to separate out any parts, I'll let you know.
I send you back an mp3 for approval with my bass performance. I'll mix the bass loud and clear so you can hear it, but possibly louder than you should have it in your finished mix.
If you really don't like my approach, no problem, we move on with a virtual handshake and a smile.
If you like it, but want me to make a few changes, that's fine, I'll re-record and resend you another mp3. for approval again.
I can do one more new version, at no extra charge, but more than three versions will incur an additional fee.
I aim to have your finished bass part delivered to you within 3 to 4 days.

The Cost:

Let me hear your tracks and we'll work something out, obviously a three minute song requires less work on my part than a long concept piece, so I will quote based on your requirements.

Once you are happy with what I've done, you pay me via Paypal and once I have received your payment, I send you the bass file as a high quality mono .wav (or any other format you specify) file for you to put into your DAW project. I can also upload it to your preferred cloud service, such as idisk/dropbox etc.

To keep myself affordable, and allow me to concentrate on making a good fitting bassline for you, I would like to have as much relevant information from you as possible. If you've recorded to a click, let me know the exact bpm of your song. If you have already programmed a MIDI Bass part you'd like me to replace, then send me a MIDI file or notation.
If your song contains chord changes please let me know the chords, this saves me time and means I can get straight to work crafting an appropriate bassline for you.
If you are a beatmaker wanting some bass, I can play along to your beats for a few minutes, with variations, giving you the option to sample and loop me as you wish.

As well as my top notch gear, I will use my own taste, judgement, creativity and experience to craft you a line for your song or to fit your beats.

See my soundcloud page for some examples of different sounds from my bass collection, including my upright bass.

I also enjoy drum programming, I use a variety of different drum machine software (BFD3, StylusRMX, Reason etc.) to craft beats, so if you require a programmed drum part to your song, please contact me for more details.

I look forward to working on your material!

Credits – I would like to be credited on your release, something like :
